Systems Administrator

Job Summary:
Emerald Sky is looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our servers and networks. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be essential in supporting our organization’s IT needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Management: Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and application software. Ensure optimal performance and availability of all systems.
• Network Administration: Monitor and manage network performance, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Troubleshoot network issues and implement security measures to protect against vulnerabilities.
• User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner. Conduct training sessions to enhance user knowledge and proficiency.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability. Develop and test disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures.
• Security Management: Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures. Prepare reports on system performance and incidents.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends. Recommend improvements to existing IT infrastructure and processes to enhance efficiency and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in systems administration or IT support.
• Proficiency in server and network management tools (e.g., Windows Server, Linux, Cisco).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
