Brief Project Background – Comprehensive Bilateral Anti- Trafficking program
The Government of the Republic of Zambia and the United States have concluded a Bilateral Partnership to combat Trafficking in Persons. This multi-year commitment will strengthen the efforts of both the Zambian government and civil society organizations to effectively respond to Trafficking in Persons in particular implementing interventions on prevention, protection, prosecution and partnership. The programme aims to: Prevent human trafficking by addressing root causes and vulnerabilities, protect victims by ensuring access to high-quality, trauma-informed care, prosecute traffickers and hold them accountable through effective investigations and convictions while strengthening the justice system’s capacity to address human trafficking and establish and strengthen Partnerships, co-operations and co-ordinations that flourish across sectors and actors involved in anti-human trafficking.

Reporting to: Shelter Manager
Roles and Responsibility
- Ensure YWCA property and individual property is protected.
- No unauthorized entry into the shelter
- Ensure that all records and registers for security inquiries are updated, visitors and drivers sign the log book, and ensure the log book is kept properly and secure.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively to the Shelter Manager on all matters related to theft and emergencies reported
- Report immediately all incidents that occur during day or night shifts to the Shelter Manager.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Desired Qualifications and competences:
- Grade 12 Certificate
- At least three (3) years of experience working in a related field
- Experience in working with CSOs/NGOs
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Experience working for an international non-government organization is an advantage
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
