Security Guard

Job Summary:
Mulungushi Innovations is seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our security team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, clients, and assets. Your presence and proactive approach will be crucial in preventing incidents and ensuring peace of mind within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surveillance and Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and safety hazards. Use surveillance equipment to observe and document any irregularities.
• Access Control: Manage entry and exit points, verifying identification and credentials of visitors and employees. Ensure that only authorized personnel are allowed access to restricted areas.
• Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, including fires, medical incidents, and security breaches. Follow established protocols to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations. Prepare detailed reports for management regarding security events, including investigations and resolutions.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting visitors and assisting them with inquiries. Maintain a professional demeanor while representing the company.
• Collaboration: Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary. Participate in safety drills and training sessions to stay prepared for potential emergencies.
• Maintenance of Security Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain security equipment, including alarms, cameras, and communication devices. Report any malfunctions or needed repairs to management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certifications is a plus.
• Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
