We are recruiting!

Our client in Zambia is looking for a salesperson to join their team for a job vacancy within the telecommunication industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To pro-actively source new clients according to monthly set targets
  • Present the range of products and services to all new clients (Least cost routing, Telephone Management Systems, data ISP products, PBX’s, corporate faxing services)
  • Through a thorough understanding of the clients’ telecommunications infrastructure, propose the most effective manner of the applicable installation
  • Conclude sales in accordance with the profitability requirements of the company and monthly set targets
  • Facilitate the installation process involved in the application and manage the client relationship
  • Constantly provide feedback to management as to market requirements and conditions relating to the products and services.
  • To effectively position the company as being a definitive supplier of knowledge, products and services within the telecommunications industry
  • Vertical and horizontal account analysis and penetration to ensure that all possible product opportunities in existing and associated accounts are explored
  • Account analysis and penetration.
  • Present a Comprehensive architectural plan of top 10 accounts. This plan must include, decision makers, Group and associated companies, Competitors, Cross selling opportunities. Measured quarterly.
  • Horizontal product penetration (To ensure that all possible product opportunities in existing and associated accounts are explored). Performance measured Monthly.
  • Utilisation the services of the product specialist.
  • Vertical and Horizontal Account management
  • Vertical Management (Development of Person-to-Person relationship at predefined levels) Performance measured monthly.
  • Horizontal Management (Explore business opportunities in all associated group accounts) Performance measured monthly.
  • Contract management
  • Constant monitor of renewal dates. Compared monthly.
  • Quarterly project plan and analysis. Performance set quarterly and reviewed monthly.
  • Debtor’s involvement. Performance measured monthly.
  • Utilization the services of the “Product Specialist” & “Product Managers”
  • Facilitate user groups, general function attendance, retention fund management
  • Constant monitor of renewal dates, quarterly project plan and analysis, debtors involvement, maintain client retention file
  • Daily interaction with helpdesk, overflow, industry trend
  • The ability to generate viable new sales prospects on a continual basis, while simultaneously managing the sales cycle of each prospect with the objective of concluding sales in accordance with monthly targets is critical. Computer literacy and the ability to produce accurate and individualized client proposals is a prerequisite.

Specific outputs required are:

  • Always focus on target achievement
  • Ability to effectively communicate to potential clients, the ‘Unique Selling Points’ of services over and above that of competitors
  • Effective presentations to clients when required (in-house and on-site, groups and individuals)
  • Solid and continued feedback of competitor activity
  • Regular reporting and interfacing to management regarding market conditions
  • A sound understanding of telecommunications, networking & data
  • Presentations will be required at all levels of management
  • Be able to work beyond required hours as the position demands
  • Achieve objectives & meet deadlines – deliver quality on time
  • Strong client/service orientation – develop and maintain strong relationship with clients and colleagues

Qualifications
