Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager with over 5 years of proven expertise in building materials or ceramic tile sales to join our team. This role is crucial for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and expanding our market share in Zambia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand our market presence.
- Visiting existing customers, develop customers in the ceramic tile market and promote the completion of sales targets in this region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, and identify and pursue new business opportunities, follow up on orders and payments from credit customers
- Conduct market research and analyze competitor activities to identify trends and opportunities.
- Manage and mentor a sales team, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and development.
- Stay informed about our product range, industry trends, and customer needs to effectively communicate the benefits of our products.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, including preparing regular reports and forecasts.
- Provide marketing executives with sufficient market and competitor information to effectively control the budget for specific activity areas
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the building materials or ceramic tile industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of building materials or ceramic tiles, and a solid understanding of the local market.
- Proven experience in leading and motivating a sales team of no less than 10 people before.
