Refrigeration Technician

Job Summary:
Emerald Sky is looking for a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our dedicated maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of refrigeration and air conditioning systems across our facilities. Your technical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities will be critical in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Maintenance: Install, service, and maintain refrigeration systems and air conditioning units, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, identifying issues related to refrigerants, electrical components, and mechanical systems. Take corrective actions as necessary.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems to ensure they operate efficiently and reduce the risk of breakdowns.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of parts and supplies. Prepare detailed reports on equipment status and recommendations for repairs or replacements.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by responding to client inquiries and concerns regarding refrigeration and HVAC systems. Explain issues clearly and offer effective solutions.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulations related to handling refrigerants and operating tools and equipment. Participate in safety training and maintain a safe working environment.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in refrigeration and HVAC systems to enhance skills and improve service quality.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training program in refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in refrigeration and air conditioning service, including commercial and industrial systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and HVAC components.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
