Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:
Emerald Sky is in search of a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our project management team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in ensuring that construction projects are completed within budget and on time. You will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, and managing project finances, making your expertise essential to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
• Conduct feasibility studies to assess project viability and provide recommendations.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying any variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate project costing.
• Prepare and submit tender documents and conduct bid evaluations.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare financial reports and forecasts to keep stakeholders informed of project costs.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
