Job Description:

North Star is seeking a knowledgeable and efficient Procurement Officer to manage the procurement activities in Lusaka. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of agreements.
  • Manage procurement processes, including purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock.
  • Maintain procurement records and prepare reports.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of procurement principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
