Job Description:

Nexus Zambia is seeking a skilled and experienced Mining Engineer to join our team in Lusaka. The Mining Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing mining operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and design mining operations and projects.
• Conduct site inspections and feasibility studies.
• Oversee the extraction and processing of minerals.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with geologists, surveyors, and other professionals.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mining Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of mining processes and engineering principles.
• Proficiency in relevant software and MS Office.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field; professional certification (e.g., EIZ) preferred.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience:

• At least 5-7 years of experience in mining engineering.
