Job Description

Seed Secondary School is looking for a dedicated and organized Librarian to manage our school library. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing library operations, promoting literacy, and providing support to students and staff in accessing and using library resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage library operations, including cataloguing, shelving, and circulation of materials.
• Assist students and staff in locating and using library resources.
• Develop and implement programs and activities to promote literacy and a love of reading.
• Maintain accurate records of library materials and transactions.
• Ensure the library is a welcoming and inclusive environment for all users.
• Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum and instructional needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in library management software and tools.
• Knowledge of library cataloguing and classification systems.

Education
