Job Description:
North Star is looking for a meticulous and experienced Internal Auditor to evaluate the effectiveness of our risk management, control, and governance processes in Lusaka. The Internal Auditor will conduct audits, identify areas of improvement, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audits and assess company operations, financial practices, and controls.
- Identify and report on areas of risk and non-compliance.
- Develop and implement audit plans and procedures.
- Provide recommendations for improving internal controls and processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Internal Auditor or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of auditing standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in audit management software.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CIA, CPA) preferred.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing.
