Position: House Keeper

Location: Mongu

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Contract Duration: from July to December 2024(with possibility of extension)

Project Summary:

Cleaner and cook is responsible for general administrative support with the overall aim of ensuring Office, Team House and Guest House are Clean and also preparing lunch for PIN staff.

Tasks And Responsibilities

Support to Programs and Support Department

  • Wash dishes, matts, curtains and clothes as requested
  • Maintaining high clean standard environment for employees and organization visitors
  • Shop for food as requested
  • Ensure all sanitisers and hand washing points are fully maintained
  • Taking stock of all cleaning utensils
  • Cook as requested. All fresh food and vegetables must be carefully washed and if required soaked in chlorine tablets prior to cooking
  • Clean the office daily, ensuring the floors and furniture are washed daily. Particular attention must be given to daily cleaning of the kitchen and bathrooms. Different cleaning clothes must be used in the kitchen and bathroom
  • Restocking supplies in the kitchen and toilets
  • Windows are well cleaned
  • Ensure water filters are always filled with water that has been boiled and cooled
  • Report maintenance problems to your Manager
  • Responsible for ensuring that sufficient cleaning materials are on hand
  • Responsible for the assets in your care; report any asset movement, loss or damage to the relevant person

Accountability and Safeguarding including Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (SEAH)

  • Carry out the duties in accordance with the PIN Code of Conduct and Key policies
  • Participate in training and awareness raising (CoC and KP, Safeguarding…)
  • Support the implementation of Safeguarding measures
  • Create and maintain a fulfilling and protective environment

Others

  • And fulfils any other tasks as required

Requirements

Essentials:

  • Must be able to understand basic english
  • Experience in cleaning and or cooking will be added advantage

Preferred:

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Flexible attitude to work
  • Ability to work in an organized and methodical way
  • Awareness of Health and Safety issues
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Highest sense of Cleannes
  • Must be honest
