Position: Farm Supervisor
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of a Diploma in Agriculture or related field
2. Hands-on experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably in horticulture or aqua culture
3. Strong understanding of agricultural practices, crop management, and aquaculture techniques
4. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
7. Possession of a valid driver’s license will be an added advantage
8. Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the farm, including planting, cultivation, irrigation, harvesting, and pest control
2. Supervise farm workers and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols
3. Monitor crop health, water quality, and environmental conditions to optimize yield and quality
4. Implement and maintain efficient irrigation systems and aquaculture facilities
5. Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies to support farm operations
6. Coordinate with management to develop and implement production plans and budgets
7. Monitor and report on farm productivity, performance metrics, and key performance indicators
8. Provide training and guidance to farm staff to enhance skills and productivity
9. Collaborate with research institutions, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to stay abreast of latest developments and best practices
