Job Description:

North Star is seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee and manage our facilities in Lusaka. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are safe, well-maintained, and meet the needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of facilities.
  • Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures.
  • Manage facility budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with service providers and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Plan and manage facility renovations and upgrades.
  • Monitor and assess facility performance and implement improvements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of facility management processes and best practices.
  • Proficiency in facility management software.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in facility management.
