Job Description:
North Star is seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee and manage our facilities in Lusaka. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are safe, well-maintained, and meet the needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of facilities.
- Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures.
- Manage facility budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with service providers and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Plan and manage facility renovations and upgrades.
- Monitor and assess facility performance and implement improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of facility management processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in facility management software.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in facility management.
