Job Description:

Nexus Zambia is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Environmental Engineer to oversee our environmental compliance and sustainability efforts in Lusaka. The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental programs and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement environmental policies and programs.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
• Prepare and present environmental reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.
• Provide training and support to staff on environmental practices.
• Identify and implement sustainability initiatives.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Environmental Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
• Proficiency in environmental management software and MS Office.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CEM) preferred.

• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Teamwork and project management skills.

Experience:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in environmental engineering.
