Job Description: Emerald Edge is looking for a meticulous Customs Officer to oversee and manage customs processes and ensure compliance with national and international trade regulations. The Customs Officer will be responsible for inspecting cargo, verifying documentation, and enforcing customs laws.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and examine cargo and goods to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Verify and process import and export documentation.
• Conduct audits and investigations to prevent smuggling and other illegal activities.
• Provide guidance and support to businesses regarding customs procedures and requirements.
• Collaborate with other government agencies and stakeholders on customs-related matters.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of customs laws and regulations.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration, Business, Law, or a related field.

Skills:

• Proficiency in customs and trade software.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in customs or a related role.
