6. Community Development Officer

Job Description: Emerald Edge is looking for a proactive Community Development Officer to support and enhance community development projects. The successful candidate will work on planning and implementing community programs, engaging with local stakeholders, and driving positive social change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and implement community development projects and initiatives.
• Engage with community members and stakeholders to assess needs and identify opportunities for development.
• Coordinate and manage community programs and events.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community development efforts.
• Prepare reports and provide recommendations for program improvements.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of community development principles and practices.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse community groups.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Work, Sociology, or a related field.

Skills:

• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze community needs and develop effective solutions.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in community development or a related role.
