Job Description:
Apex is looking for a proactive and experienced Community Development Officer to support and develop community-based programs. The Community Development Officer will work with local communities to enhance social and economic well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement community development programs and initiatives.
- Conduct needs assessments and engage with community members.
- Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Provide training and capacity-building activities for community members.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of community development programs.
- Prepare reports and documentation on program outcomes.
- Advocate for community needs and priorities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Community Development Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of community development principles and practices.
- Excellent project management and facilitation skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Skills:
- Proficiency in community development software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in community development.
