Job Description:

Nexus Zambia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Lusaka. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and manage construction projects for buildings, roads, bridges, and other structures.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans and safety regulations.
• Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Civil Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
• Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; professional certification (e.g., EIZ) preferred.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience:

• At least 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering.
