Job Description:
North Star is looking for a meticulous and analytical Budget Analyst to manage our budgeting processes in Lusaka. The Budget Analyst will be responsible for preparing and monitoring budgets, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and monitor budgets for various departments.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends and variances.
- Provide budgetary recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Prepare and present budget reports to management.
- Assist in the development of long-term financial plans.
- Ensure compliance with budget policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Budget Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of budgeting principles and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in budgeting software and MS Office.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in budgeting and financial analysis.
