Job Description:

Nexus Zambia is seeking a talented and experienced Automation Engineer to design and implement automation solutions to improve our production processes in Lusaka. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automation systems and processes.
• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of automated systems.
• Prepare and present automation reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve automation issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide training and support to staff on automation systems.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Automation Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of automation systems and control engineering.
• Proficiency in automation software and programming languages (e.g., PLC, HMI).

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Attention to detail and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in automation engineering.
