Job description:
To facilitate and conduct training programs for Kansanshi employees in Process Instrumentation and provide comprehensive instructions on the principles, installation, calibration, and maintenance of process instrumentation systems. Whitelist also creating a dynamic learning environment that combines theoretical knowledge with practical hands-on experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and update training materials for process instrumentation.
- Utilise multimedia resources to enhance the understanding of complex instrumentation concepts.
- Conduct in-house Theory and practical training sessions for employees to enhance skills in instrumentation system installation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Integrate modern technologies and simulation tools into training sessions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in process instrumentation and incorporate relevant technologies into the Instrumentation Training modules.
- Training & Assessment of process instrumentation personnel.
- Training record keeping / control.
- Updating of all training activities and documents in INX.
- Assist end-users to identify instrumentation related gaps and help close out the gaps.
- Conduct training needs analysis and deliver training to bridge gaps in employee’s skills and knowledge.
- Ensure that company procedures and safety regulations are re-enforced in order to minimise damage to equipment and optimise production.
- Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders to establish training needs and report on training progress.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training and modify training materials as appropriate.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance training methodologies.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably requested of by the supervisor in line with effective operations of the Training Department.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Technician or Diploma Certificate in Process Instrumentation or Related Field
- Teaching Methodology Qualification
- Accredited Trainer, Assessor & Examiner by TEVETA an added advantage
Experience
- Demonstrated minimum 5 years’ experience in in process instrumentation training or a related in Resources or Mining Industry
- 5 years plus in Training and Assessing in Resources Industry
- Practical experience with process instrumentation systems.
