Job Summary:

Our team is looking for an experienced Truck Mechanic specializing in trucks to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with truck maintenance and repair. This role requires a deep understanding of truck systems, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

– Perform comprehensive diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on trucks, including engine, transmission, brake, and suspension systems.
– Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability and performance.
– Use specialized tools and equipment to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues in our trucks.
– Follow manufacturer specifications and guidelines to ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are performed to the highest standards.
– Maintain accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and labor hours.
– Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices related to trucks maintenance and repair.
– Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
– Provide technical support and mentorship to less experienced mechanics as needed.

Key Competencies:

– In-depth knowledge of truck systems, components, and repair techniques.
– Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to trucks.
– Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
– Excellent understanding of technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
– Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in truck maintenance and repair.
– Experience with Mercedes-Benz trucks is an added advantage.

Qualifications:

– Minimum of 5 years of experience as a truck mechanic, with a focus on trucks.
– Relevant certification or diploma in automotive technology, diesel mechanics, or a related field.
– Proven track record of performing maintenance and repairs on trucks.
– Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate trucks and heavy equipment.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Experience working in a dealership or authorized service centre for trucks.
– Additional certifications or training specific to truck systems.
