FINANCE MANAGER

Based in Lusaka, Zambia, we work with local and global clients in the public, private and non-profit sectors since 2008.
We are seeking an experienced, empathetic, curious, creative and collaborative individual who can independently manage and provide the necessary creativity in our studio to advance our client’s objectives.
To qualify for the role, you should meet the following requirements;
- ACCA/CIMA/Bachelor of Accountancy
- Financial strategy development, implementation and monitoring
- Financial Reporting and International Accounting standards
- Financial Accounting
- Management Accounting
- Statutory audits
- Cash flow Management
- Reconciliation of Financial systems
- Taxation
Key Responsibilities;
- Leads the development of financial and business planning process, translates strategic business priorities into financial impact in order to promote the achievement of Media365 strategic objectives.
- Establishes budget guidelines, prepares Media 365 overall budget in a timely manner with consideration to high quality standards, to ensure timely allocation of sufficient resources for the implementation of Media 365 strategy
- Manages annual budgets and conducts periodic cost and productivity analyses to control costs to ensure expenditure is within the approved budget limits
- Coordinates the provision of technical financial expertise to user departments in the preparation of budget and compliance with the finance policies and procedures to ensure sufficient allocation of resources to all user departments and efficiency in the use of resources
- Controls cash flow and prepares cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy in order to minimise liquidity and optimise financial returns to meet expenditure commitments.
- Monitors the preparation of the books of account to ensure compliance with the accounting standards and Media 365 policies and procedures.
- Develops and maintains internal financial controls to ensure integrity, accuracy, sufficiency, of financial information in order to comply with regulatory requirements
- Produces and maintains financial statements and reports that are appropriate for users in accordance with acceptable requirements and management information systems.
- Develops financial policies and procedure and gains approval of management to ensure the approved policies are aligned to the strategic direction of Media 365
- Provides financial advice to management that leads to the development of the department
- Monitors the preparation and submission of statutory payments to ensure the set requirements and guidelines are complied with in order to reduce the risks associated with non-compliance
- Trains, coaches and motivates staff to ensure smooth and active working environment in the department and to keep a good working relationship with all staff in order to achieve agreed objectives according to budget and maximise departmental performance through a motivated workforce
