Position Description

mPharma is seeking a dynamic individual with exceptionally high work standards to join our team for an internship opportunity. The Finance Intern will work closely with our finance team to support in daily operations and in providing administrative assistance as needed.

You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in financial operations, risk assessment, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. This internship will provide valuable exposure to finance practices, financial analysis, and contribute to your professional development in the field of finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Finance Associate in day-to-day operations.
  • Assist with reconciliations and preparation of Month-End financials.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
  • Assist in creating and managing financial reports.
  • Support accounts payable process on a daily basis.
  • Prepare daily sales and treasury reports.
  • Aid in cost tracking and management.
  • Assist with ongoing finance activities.
  • Prepare monthly closing Journal Entry logs and other finance-related tasks.
  • Assist with project-based tasks as assigned.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and contribute to the team.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing, or have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy ZICA/ACCA, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles is preferred.
  • Must have the legal right to live and work in Zambia fulltime.
