Our client is on the hunt for a passionate Software Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our software engineering teams. If you have a knack for delivering top-notch systems on time and a love for mentoring and coaching, we want to hear from you!

You’ll play a pivotal role in steering our clients’ software engineering teams towards excellence. Using your expertise, you’ll manage projects, foster a culture of delivery, and ensure their systems are of the highest quality. You’ll work closely with development teams and leadership, inspiring them to reach their goals and continuously improve our clients’ processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in all stages of the SDLC: design, coding, code reviews, and demos.
  • Manage and lead software development teams, setting and tracking goals to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Oversee project timelines and support teams in estimation and handling unexpected issues.
  • Implement a shift-left approach to ensure software quality with rigorous testing.
  • Champion Agile methodologies and facilitate ceremonies for system build and delivery.
  • Monitor team performance and health using Agile tools and techniques.
  • Drive strategy for the technology department by tracking OKRs and KPIs.
  • Build strong relationships with Data and SecOps teams to enhance delivery speed and inclusiveness.
  • Assist lead engineers and development teams by removing blockers and impediments.
  • Maintain regular communication with lead engineers through catchups and Scrum of Scrums.
  • Foster a culture of autonomy, enabling teams to operate with minimal dependencies.
  • Organize teams to promptly address critical issues and support activities.
  • Continuously seek and implement opportunities for innovation, automation, and process improvement.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering or engineering management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience in engineering leadership, preferably across multiple product teams.
  • Multi-cloud experience.
  • Knowledge of design and security standards.
  • Experience in the iGaming industry is a plus.
