Job Description:
North Star is seeking a meticulous and experienced Compliance Officer to ensure that our operations in Lusaka comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Identify and assess compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide training and guidance on compliance matters.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues.
- Prepare compliance reports for management and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in compliance management software.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a compliance role.
