JOB DETAILS:

In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast-changing business environment on the other, we are seeking highly motivated, result-oriented, well-qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacant positions:

63.0 TYPIST – GRADE ZRA08 (2 POSITIONS)

Reporting directly to the Human Resource Manager- Operations/Station Manager, you will be responsible for providing keyboard support work and secretarial Services to the office and staff so that they operate efficiently and effectively as they work towards meeting the business objectives of the station.

  1. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Composing routine correspondence, proof reading and/or finalizing letters, memorandums, reports or other documents for approval or signature for staff at the station;
  • Entering and updating information in automated systems/templates, develops routine spreadsheets and databases, utilizes various software packages in performance of duties;
  • Compiling and summarizing data or reports from a variety of sources in accordance with specific instructions or procedures;
  • Reviewing documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance;
  • Receiving, recording, monitoring and coordinating business correspondence from stakeholders and other units within Zambia Revenue Authority;
  • Preparing purchase and supply requisitions;
  • Management of petty cash;
  • Maintaining good relationships with Taxpayers/external clients, ZRA management and staff;
  • Arranging meetings for officers with stakeholders;
  • Attending to all general enquiries for the unit and facilitates good communication and dissemination of general information;
  • Ensuring strict adherence to confidentiality when handling correspondence, reports, appointments etc;
  • Establishing and maintaining filing systems, preparing records for storage and/or archiving; and
  • Maintaining equipment and supply inventory.
  1. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Grade 12 School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) equivalent;
  • Minimum of Personal Secretary certificate with Shorthand Speed of 90 WPM and Typing Speed of 45 WPM;
  • Minimum one (1) year relevant post qualifying work experience in a similar organization and a busy office; and
  • Valid membership to the Professional Secretaries Association of Zambia (PSAZ).
