Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, resources, and personnel, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate efforts among various teams and stakeholders.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor construction teams, ensuring that all personnel understand their roles and responsibilities. Foster a positive team environment to maximize productivity.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
- Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies. Prepare and present progress reports to management and clients.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Resolve conflicts that may arise on-site to maintain workflow.
- Financial Management: Oversee project budgets and expenditures, ensuring cost-effective practices are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Review and approve invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage conflicts effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
