Network Engineer

Job Summary:
Ndola Prime is looking for a talented Network Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage our network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and performance. Your expertise in network architecture and security will be crucial in supporting our business operations and technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design: Design and implement scalable and secure network solutions that meet the organization’s requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to define network architecture and specifications.
• Configuration and Implementation: Configure and deploy network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Ensure that all configurations are documented and maintained.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance and reliability using network management tools. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and connectivity issues.
• Security Management: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems. Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, providing technical support to users and other IT staff as needed.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures. Prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and security for management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or administration.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and best practices.
• Proficiency in network design and management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
