Job Summary:
Emerald Sky is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Statistician to join our research team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing data sets to provide valuable insights that inform strategic decisions across the organization. Your expertise in statistical methods and data interpretation will be crucial in enhancing our operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Apply statistical techniques to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Utilize software such as R, SAS, or Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Model Development: Develop statistical models to forecast future trends and assess the impact of different variables on business outcomes. Validate models and ensure their reliability and accuracy.
- Research Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design research studies that align with organizational objectives. Define data collection methods, sampling techniques, and survey design.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports and visual presentations that summarize research findings, methodologies, and recommendations. Communicate complex statistical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of data collection and analysis processes. Conduct regular audits of data sources and methodologies.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and team members, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on advancements in statistical methods and software tools. Recommend improvements to existing processes and methodologies to enhance data analysis capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; a Ph.D. is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in statistical analysis, preferably in a corporate or research environment.
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
