Our client in the Football industry, is looking for a Matron dedicated to nurturing young talent and fostering a positive environment for players to develop their skills both on and off the field.

Position Overview: We are looking for a retired teacher with a background in education to fill the role of Matron for our camp house. This role is crucial in providing a safe, nurturing, and organized environment for our players, while also leveraging the skills and experiences of a retired educator to contribute to their development and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Care:

  • Oversee the daily activities and well-being of the players residing in the camp house.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Implement and maintain a structured daily routine that supports both academic and athletic growth.

Health and Safety:

  • Monitor and manage health and safety standards within the camp house.
  • Maintain records of health and medical information, liaising with healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Educational Support:

  • Provide guidance and support for players’ educational needs, coordinating with relevant educational staff and resources.
  • Assist in managing any academic programs or tutoring sessions as required.

Discipline and Well-being:

  • Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere, addressing behavioral issues with a fair and empathetic approach.
  • Organize and supervise recreational and developmental activities that enhance personal growth and team cohesion.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Act as a liaison between players and coaching staff, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Coordinate with camp management and other staff members to address any operational needs or concerns.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records related to the camp house operations, including player attendance, incidents, and other relevant documentation.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the camp house.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma in Education or a related field. A teaching qualification and experience as a teacher are essential.
  • Experience: Significant experience in teaching
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or caregiving role is highly desirable.
  • Skills:Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and empathy.
